This Environmental Engineer will be responsible for managing permits, reports and compliance with all federal and state regulations for 2 plants, one in New York and one in central Ohio.  This position will work out of the New York plant with approximately 25% travel to the Ohio site. The leadership in this global organization is committed to not only compliance but also to reducing/eliminated waste and developing environmentally sustainable programs, as well as, continuing to invest in the business.  This role will have opportunities to also support capital projects.

Summary:

-Applying engineering competencies, compliance knowledge and expertise in areas of air/Title V, water and hazardous waste for 2 chemical product manufacturing plants.

 

-Modifying, improving and maintaining regulatory compliance for both locations directly and with the use of highly-skilled consultants to promote environmental policies, programs and activities by establishing standards, auditing and promoting improvements and when necessary, directing corrective actions.

 

-This role will; interface with the regulatory agencies, be the point of contact on all environmental audits, provide guidelines and assistance in training operators and interact with vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

 

Requirements:

 

*Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred but will consider similar technical degrees along with minimum of (3) years of multi-media environmental compliance in a chemical production facility.

 

*Some experience with Title V permits, hazardous waste handling required.

 

*Additional experience with trial burns/ hazardous waste incinerator, managing contractors, recovery units/waste stream reductions, is preferred.

 

*Knowledge of NY State regulatory requirements is a plus!

 

*Must be willing to travel 25% (will include overnight stays).

Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer: NY state

Primarily responsible for identifying system-wide cost reduction opportunities using advanced process control, system optimization, process systems engineering analyses, and multivariate statistical principles. You will conceptualize, design, execute and implement advanced control strategies using model predictive control (MPC) and/or Real Time Optimization (RTO) technology. You will also interface with Global Operations and Operations Engineering support teams in maintaining these advanced process control and optimization applications at peak efficiency and providing guidance for optimal plant configurations using model-based optimization tools.

Job Description
Staff Manufacturing Quality Engineer ensure products and assemblies meet specifications and all applicable product quality, design and manufacturing process requirements. Provide leadership in areas of product quality assurance and quality engineering to drive business objectives, continuous process and product improvements. Develop and maintain procedures to ensure that statistical control is maintained in the critical processes.

Essential Behaviors and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Work closely with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Development and Technical Support to ensure high quality products and processes are developed and deployed. The activities include product design verification, process validation, risk assessment, and FMEA.
